It’s been a crazy year here at Nimvelo HQ, from our rebrand to the creation of the Nimvelo Community. We’ve had a lot of exciting things happen and we couldn’t be happier with how the year has turned out.
It’s always a bit scary when you completely rebrand your business, especially when your company is doing well to begin with. We started to think about how the Sipcentric brand, visual identity and product range could be improved to further drive our own growth and to continue on our wonderful adventure. After a lot of thought and a journey of discovery, Nimvelo was born and here we are now, a year later!
Go team Nimvelo!
The Nimvelo team has grown over the past year, with two more members joining the team. It’s been great having more people in the office and having different personalities coming together nicely. With our monthly lunches and our intense games of Exploding Kittens, it’s never a dull day in the office. You can find out more about our team and the culture we’ve nurtured over the past year.
Earlier this month we launched our recommend campaign, designed to offer customers the opportunity to earn more calling credit, and get the word out about our service. In the past, we’ve had new customers sign up because they were recommended by a friend; we believe these customers should be rewarded, which is why we now give £20 to new sign ups when they are recommended and £20 to the person who recommended them.
Events and sponsorship
Last week we sponsored the Birmingham Summer Tech BBQ, where we were able to network with other businesses in the region and promote our brand.
We also sponsored Enterprise Nation’s Digital Bootcamp this week, inspiring local businesses to develop their online identity and presence. We’ll be working very closely with the folks at Enterprise Nation over the coming months to bring you some exclusive offers and discounts, so keep your eyes peeled and don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter below!
In November, we’ll be heading to London to showcase ourselves at The Business Show (we’ll also be sponsoring all three startup theatres at the same time). This will be a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and to show off Nimvelo Phone and some of the other things we’ve been working on. If you happen to be in London on the 17th/18th of November, why not stop by and say hello!
The Nimvelo Community is a new and exciting place for entrepreneurs to gain insight into the current business landscape, and share experiences with other likeminded business professionals. At Nimvelo we like to get people together; the community not only allows businesses to connect with each other but gives them the opportunity to showcase their own achievements in our monthly spotlight feature.
WebRTC (browser-based phone)
WebRTC stands for Web Real-Time Communication. Over the past few months, Josh (one of our developers) has been working on something pretty exciting. This product will enable customers to make and receive calls directly from their web browser, on any device, without the need for plugins or other downloads.
What’s next for Nimvelo?
We’ve been working extremely hard on some new and exciting products to add to our portfolio, and look forward to showcasing them over the coming months. We’re also working on some exciting third-party integrations, so if you use Nimvelo Phone and would like to start connecting with other services, please get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
